This duvet cover is high quality and very comfortable to touch. It looks good on the bed too. The fabric meets the OEKO-TEK standard, no harmful level toxic substances. Quality and safety to health are the two most important things I would look into when I choose the bedding materials. This is a 300-thread count long staple cotton duvet cover. Even though I have been using 550 thread count long staple bed sheets, I cannot tell noticeable difference between these two kind of cotton fabric. Compare to my 550 threat count bed sheet, this 300 thread count duvet cover maybe a little softer, which is what I like as a duvet cover. The woven technique used in this cotton fabric makes it feel softer and more comfortable to the touch. The fabric looks sturdy too. Since this is 100% cotton, it has some shrinkage. According to the information provided by the seller, it may have up to 5% shrinkage. The duvet arrived in a perfect wrinkle-free condition with a silky feel. I believe it is treated with some kind of fabric treatment. I gave it a good wash before I use it. After the wash, the silky feel is gone and it wrinkles. However, it still feels good to the touch and it is not terribly wrinkled. I did iron it to make it look good again. I use this duvet cover to cover my silk comforter which I ordered from the same brand name. The duvet cover and the silk comforter together make me feel so very comfortable sleeping under it! Also the seller is quick to respond to questions and pleasant to work with.
